The material of membrane key switches often has flame-retardant properties,but this depends on the specific material selection and product design requirements.

From the common material composition,the outer film of the membrane key switch is usually made of polyester(PET)or polycarbonate(PC)material.PET material itself has a certain degree of flame retardancy,and its molecular structure is relatively stable,so it will not easily burn when encountering a fire source.Especially PET film that has undergone special treatment can effectively prevent the spread of flames.Polycarbonate(PC)material is also a material with good flame retardant properties.Its oxygen index(LOI)is relatively high,which means that it requires more oxygen to maintain combustion during the combustion process.Therefore,under normal conditions,flames are not easily sustained on PC materials.
